Palm Beach Boat Show opens Thursday

More than $1.2 billion worth of boats and marine accessories will be on display at the 28th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, which is Thursday through Sunday on the water along Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach.

The show has everything from inflatables to superyachts over 150 feet long. Also on display are a variety of powerboats, including center consoles, bow riders and personal watercraft.

The TrawlerPort Village has free seminars Friday through Sunday on topics such as what to look for in a trawler and cruising in the United States and the Bahamas.

Anglers can sit in on free IGFA School of Sportfishing seminars. Youngsters can attend the free Kids’ Fishing Clinics at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, where they’ll learn basic fishing techniques and receive a free rod and reel.

Show hours are noon-7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $16 for adults, $7 for children ages 6-15 and free for children under 6.
